Man with Van Terms
VERY IMPORTANT :
Be very suspicious of any Man and Van that does not have Terms and conditions....They are there to protect you and the removals company.
There is nothing hidden in these terms and all the condiions in these terms are either common sense or can easily be adhered to in order to make your move as easy as possible.
I believe in being open and honest with you without adding small print terms designed to catch you out and charge you any extra.
Please read these terms before accepting any quotation or before booking.
Your Online Quote is Free and you are NOT under any obligation to proceed . When you fill out the Online Quote form, this is for a quote only...Not a booking. The only way to book is by replying to the original quote email that you should receive within 15 minutes of sending the online quote.( We have NEVER had a claim against our Goods-In-Transit policy ) Your goods are insured to the value of £10,000 while in transit. This does not cover any assembled Flatpack furniture that has not been taken apart prior to our arrival.We use packing blankets and straps to secure items in the van and take great care when packing your furniture, however, please use protective packing such as bubble wrap or cushioned wraps to cover TV's and computer monitors before our arrival. Your quote is only valid for the items listed in your original online quote ( Please include boxes and bags ), and amount of stairs accurately mentioned on the online form. If unsure of the final amount of boxes etc, please mention this so that I can quote an estimate only. If your booking is for 1 man and a van, then this means that the driver helps you carry and load all items. Not only the heavy ones.All items need to be packed and ready to be loaded by the agreed collection time.Delay in loading or in gaining access to the destination property or waiting for furniture to be taken apart ie.. waiting for contracts or money transfers, waiting for keys, removing doors or sofa feet, waiting for you to go to the bank to withdraw our fee etc. I will wait with you provided I have got the time to wait with you and have not got another booking soon after yours. Please note that there is a £15 per half hour fee for any delays.Please be aware that about 5 % of sofas, bed bases and wardrobes do not fit through doors and up staircases. Especially ebay purchases ! Delivery in such cases means as far as we can get to.Unless arranged with me prior to collection, beds, wardrobes and large self assembled furniture need to be dismantled and washing machines disconnected before my arrival. The sample load seen in the Van Size page, assumes that furniture has been dismantled.You are welcome to travel with in the van free of charge if travelling from either Maidstone, Tunbridge Wells, Tonbridge, Sevenoaks or the Medway towns in Kent. I carry furniture in my van, so No Smoking in any of my vans. I or my drivers will stop for you to have a smoke. Unless stated in your quote request, the price quoted is for a ground floor collection and delivery service.All items taller than 1750mm will need to loaded horizontally. Fridges and freezers taller than 1750mm, will need to be loaded lying flat and left switched off in the upright position for 8 hours before switching back on to allow settling of the coolant.We accept cash, Debit cards, Visa and Mastercard . Please note There is a £5 charge for ALL card transactions.Unfortunately we can no longer accept cheques.By accepting any quotation, you agree to all these Man with Van terms.
